DIRECTORS

Flag Drill - Kylie Webb

I've been involved with drill team on some level since I was 10 and as soon as I aged out, I was always someone's junior instructor. I lived in Alaska for 4 years and brought drill team to Anchorage for the years I was there. When I moved back, I had my very first team on my own in 2017 and being hooked ever since. This is my 5th year as a head director, taking 1 off for COVID. I'm a mom of 2 girls that will be participating in drill team and football with the Hawks! I'm excited to be working with the little bitties and seeing where the season takes us!

E Drill - Christa Sandlin

Christa has done drill since she was 5 for the Vikings back when they were Red, White, & Blue along with Ms. Meg. She continued on until she aged out. When her oldest daughter was 6 she came to the mesquite hawks as Ms. Meg's assistant director back in 2013 & since have been stuck like glue. Even distance couldn't keep her away. She drove from Carrollton 4-5 days a week for practice & games. She knew it was definite must to move back to Mesquite because she had a 4year old that would be starting the next season. She then was an assistant for Ms. Stephanie on Flag and her youngest baby was the mascot. She has stayed with Flag for the last 3-4 years. The growth of Flag babies is her favorite to watch start to finish. After 9 seasons of helping she is FINALLY taking the E team Head Director position since both of her girls will be on the team. Her oldest daughter aged out so she will help as a junior instructor and we will all get to work together. I'm a single mother of four kiddos. 3 girls and her son who is 17. He also played football for the Hawks. They all absolutely love the Hawks it's a Family thing, I love watching all these babies grow. Can't wait to see what this season brings!!!

Melanie Garcia - D Drill

Just some quick info..... Mrs. Melanie has danced since she was 3 and started drill when she was 4. Her family were all dancers including her grandmother, mom and sister. She danced on to become the Head Captain of the Mesquite High School All Star Drill Team. She continued dancing at dance studios after high school until she started her family with her husband, Patrick. They have 2 beautiful babies together. This is Melanie's 2nd season as a director at the Hawks. She placed at Zone and City in 2022.  Melanie was a HAWK when she was on pee wee!!! We are super excited to have her back here with the Hawks family!! "I'm excited to teach the next generation!! Grow bonds with the girls and their families!! And get to experience watching my baby girl with the dance/drill world! "

C Drill (President) - Meg Meeks

Has been around Mesquite PeeWee Drill since she was born. She grew up on the Vikings up until her 1st year on C Drill and at the age of 12 she started choreographing and teaching. Her mother, Lisa, use to be the Hawks President from the time Meg was in middle school until after she graduated high school in 2006. She has 1 daughter, Madisyn. Meg returned to the Hawks in 2013 as Flag Director when Madisyn was 2 and has held many titles since then. In 2016 we lost her mother and we do lots of traditions in her remembrance. Meg has a passion for these kids like no other, her ability to bond with so many is a quality that is rare. She is the glue to this organization. #LMc4life (Her mothers initials).
